We have been informed by Thames Water that a number of “Contractor” Identification Cards have been lost in transit.
The cards have been deactivated so they cannot be used to gain access to any Thames Water sites but there are concerns that they could be used for criminal activity, such as gaining entry to residential properties to carry out ‘Distraction Burglaries’.
Please share this message, particularly with the elderly and vulnerable asking them to be more cautious and verify with Thames Water the persons details before letting anyone into their property.
