Covid Vaccine Programme update 12.02.21

We’re pleased to announce that we have now offered a vaccine to all patients in cohorts 1-4, that we’ve been able to get hold of. If you are aged 70+ or have received a shielding letter and we have not been able to get hold of you, please do contact us!

Health & social care workers can book at the hospital hub in Wokingham, or book via the national booking system at Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination – NHS (www.nhs.uk) or by calling 119.

Moving forward, we’ve just received the following instruction from NHS England regarding vaccination of the next cohorts:

Cohort 5 (65 – 69 years) – The national vaccine service is now responsible for your vaccination. You will receive an invitation from the national booking team to book online or via 119 at a local pharmacy or mass vaccination site.

Cohort 6 (16 – 65 years ‘at risk’) – GP led vaccine centers are responsible for your vaccination – that’s us! Please DO NOT CONTACT US TO BOOK, we will be in touch with you either via text message with a booking link, or by phoning you. Please keep in mind this is a very large cohort, and we are vaccinating across 4 surgeries; we cannot invite you all at once, your patience is appreciated.

Please be advised that we are expecting to receive Pfizer vaccines for our clinics weeks commencing 15th and 22nd of February. Please see the vaccine information here: Information for UK recipients on Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

If you do need to contact us with a genuine covid vaccine query, please complete one of our online contact forms: Contact the Practice | The Boathouse Surgery (pangbournesurgery.co.uk)

Take care and keep safe!
