IMPORTANT FLU CLINIC INFORMATION

Please read the following carefully ahead of your flu clinic appointment.

Please do not use the surgery car park if you are able to walk from home or another local car park. The surgery car park should only be used by patients with mobility issues and those that would have difficulty accessing us without use of our car park.

Please arrive at your appointment time – DO NOT come early.

Please wear a face covering at all times, but do not wear gloves, hand gel will be provided.

You must adhere to the one way system and social distancing rules at all times

Come alone – anyone not on the clinic list will be denied entry, except carers.

Injections will take place in the waiting room so please wear a top that allows easy access to the top of your arm – you will need your arm exposed ready before you reach the clinician.

There will likely be a queue outside before you are checked-in; please check the weather and perhaps bring a small umbrella if rain is forecast!

The surgery will not be open; we are unable to hand out prescriptions, book appointments or anything else during flu clinics.

You MUST NOT attend if:

  • you, or any member in your household, develops any of the following symptoms in the 2 weeks ahead of your appointment: high temperature of 37.8 more OR a new, continuous cough OR a change or loss in taste or smell.
  • you have had contact with a confirmed Covid case in the 2 weeks ahead of your appointment
  • you are subject to quarantine following travel abroad,
  • you have been advised to self-isolate by a contact tracer / school / employer
