Test Results Request
We are trying to improve the ways you can receive your test results.
Please note, we request that you do not assume that a result is normal if we do not contact you. The surgery will contact you if there is a significant problem with your results, but please contact us for all results as the GP may have made some suggestions or advice based on your results even if there is not a significant problem.
To ensure confidentiality, we only release results to the patient, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in writing.
If you would like to receive your results by text message, please give your mobile number to reception. We encourage you to do this as you will receive your results faster.
When the test results will be available
Approximate number of working days for tests ordered at surgery:
- Blood Tests – 1 week
- X-Ray – 2 weeks
- Urine Test – 5 working days
- Minor Surgery – 2 weeks
- Smear Test – 8 weeks
For investigations ordered by a hospital doctor please ask at the hospital how they intend to relay the result to you.
Please Note – once you have submitted this information, any reply or acknowledgement from us will be sent to the email address you provide at top of the form. This response may include personal and sensitive information about you. We therefore strongly advise that you provide a personal email address that only you have access to. If you do not wish for us to communicate with you via email, please do not use this form and call us instead.
